Ta Prohm
Ta Prohm is one of the most beautiful and famous temples in the area, as it have been almost untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. For all would be Mouhots and closet Indiana Jones, Ta Prohm is the perfect lost-temple in the jungle: Strangler figs and kapok trees entwine themselves around the ruins of Ta Prohm. Their roots burst apart even the thickest of walls, yet their clinging embrace prevents the walls’ collapse.

Although it is small, the details and quality of its architecture make it a must-see attraction. Next visit is Ta Phrom Temple, famous for its forest atmosphere and enormous fig trees. Half Day Siem Reap City Evening Tour
Embark on a city orientation when you take a little French Quarter Walk around the old market. After some light shopping, head over to dinner at a popular local restaurant which serves traditional khmer culinary delights all in the comfort of  modern facilities.

After dinner, watch a theatrical performance put up bby the Phare Ponleu Selpak’s Circus School. The school was created in October 1998 when one of the founders realised that his drawing classes weren’t effectively channeling the energies of the most volatile, damaged and vulnerable children. At that time, the Anch Chanh village was home to a large population of abandoned children and street kids in conflict with law and their social environment. Today, the Circus School remains an open-access space where students are trained by skilled local teachers and foreign volunteers in the major disciplines of juggling, acrobatics, aerial acts, clowning, balance and dance.

The brand of “new circus” incorporates artistic prowess and social and historical awareness. Since the first professional performance in 2002, Phare Ponleu Selpak’s circus troupes tour every year in Cambodia and abroad in Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa. Each week, the on-site PPS big top hosts at least two shows for audiences comprising both local people and foreign tourists.

Kampung Pluk
Is a commune and village in Siem Reap Province in northern-central Cambodia. It is a village built on stilts on the Tonle Sap. This program brings you about 25km Southeast of Siem Reap Town.

Upon arrival at harbor meet a boatman and sail along a small stream to the village. Over 3000 inhabitants are real Khmers, their households made of wood and bamboo built on stilts of about 6m to 7m high.

During dry season when the lake is low, and due to lack of water, those buildings look like the skyscrapers. At this time of the year, many of villagers move out onto the lake and build a provisional stilted houses. In wet season while the water level rises up again, the dwellers move back to their permanent houses on the flood plain, the stilts now hidden under the water.

Highlights of Small Circuit
Continuing to explore the temples of the Small Circuit. The most famous among these is Ta Prohm temple, built in the mid12th to early 13th centuries. Ta Prohm is unique in that it has been left largely as it was found: overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground. This makes Ta Prohm one of the most picturesque and memorable of the Angkor temples Later, we visit the magnificent Angkor Wat to view its architecture and bas reliefs

Banteay Samre Temple
A 12th century temple built by Suryavarman II and decorated with scenes inspired by the Ramayana. Banteay Samre is one of the most complete complexes at Angkor due to restoration using the method of anastylosis. Unfortunately, the absence of maintenance over the past 20 years is evident. The name Samre refers to an ethnic group of mountain people, who inhabited the regions at the base of Phnom Kulen and were probably related to the Khmers. No inscription has been found for this temple, but the style of most of the architecture is of the classic art of the middle period similar to Angkor Wat. The monument most likely dates from the same period, or, perhaps, slightly later, although there are additions attributed to the Bayon style.
